I don’t understand the edging. If there are 21 rows down the side how can you make 3 sc in corner, sc in end of next 7 rows, 2 sc in end of next row, sc in end of next 7 rows, 2 sc in end of next row, sc in end of next 7 rows. The amount of stitches made down the side is 26. Please let me help me to understand as I would like to make this square.

Not counting the 3 corner stitches, there are 25 sc across each side. Adding one set of corner stitches to a side makes 28 sc. Multiply that by 4 and you get 112 stitches. Hope that helps.
